Ok i remember that with Holyfield, but who the hell is the other bum you mentioned? So i guess Tarver and Johnson hit harder than featherfisted Ruiz the lightheavweights and 1 used to be a middleweight who got beat down as a undefeated fighter by hopkins, knowone on any forum respects Ruiz's power what a joke

Ruiz had a decent right hand that has put down Heavyweights.. Roy gave up 30 something ****ing pounds and handled it well in the first round..

Its funny how people think a former JMW moving up to HW never has to face adversity, you guys must be nuts. Just because Roy was so much better that he could dictate his fights, doesn't mean there was not adversity in the ring.

Roy never started showing chin problems until he was 35 after dropping from Heavyweight...

Roy's chin went downhill just like any other attributes a fighter may have... If power can fade so can the ability to take a punch.

You don't seem to be very smart, but what he was saying was Roy's chin has not always been as bad as it was when he was knocked out.. If you can't understand that, you have a problem.

Why dont you say that to the thread starter, apparently im not the only 1 who thinks he is vastly overrated and it bothered him more than me hince him starting the thread.Thats his fault he chose to play basketball and try to make hip hop records which was all a huge failer by the way,the best fighter he just so happened to fight at 35 he got layed out, thats what happens when you make a career out of fighting past it good fighters and civil serviceman,it seems like you dont understand that.:rofl

Because I know Jacory Harris is a ****** that loves Mayweather more than is natural when being a fan of a fighter, I would be willing to bet that this was some subliminal plot to him because it makes him feel better to dog on Roy after Mayweather was almost folded by Mosley.

I don't take him seriously, now I know not to take you seriously.:good

Also, I said this to you in an above post when you said Hopkins had virtually no amateur career... He was 95-4 in the amateurs, you didn't respond when I corrected you.

    Yep..

The thing is, a peak Griffin was actually a good fighter, very wirey, actually pretty awkward himself.

Jones certainly was having troubles with his style and was very frustrated, hence the hitting when he had MG down.

People like to ignore the fact that after the loss, Jones went into the fight with a totally different game plan, and knocked him out in the first round. I don't understand why that doesn't qualify to people saying Jones had no plan B.

In all honesty, that is all we have to go off of, as to how prime Jones might have handled a loss.

:rofl A peak Griffin. I've seen it all now. Griffin had a Glass Jaw and lost by KO to Jamaican feather-fisted journeyman plodder Glen Johnson.

    Sounds familiar....

He was undefeated, beat Toney twice when Roy fought him.... I don't know if you were watching boxing at the time, but he was considered a threat to Roy Jones at the time.
