Come on Roy Jones Jr was a hell of a fighter, coming down from heavyweight is what ruined his punch resistance. He should have retired after Tarver I as clearly his body had taken enough.

Thats funny, a middleweight going all the way up to heavyweight and winning the title is now not facing adversity?

    ****ing tool.

This is a cheap and pathetic outlook by you. Roy only lost becuase he was age 35, and rematching a man he barely beat who he fought after going up to heavyweight. You can't hide your chin for a whole boxing career (15 years)... sorry. Roy drained his body going up and down in weight, and then trying to regulate it.

If this is not true, ask any boxer to go up 17 lbs since many of you say Roy weighed in at 192, and then come back to yur original division and see if you are the same. I know you're a floyd fan so lets say we ask 31 year old PAc to pack on muscle...go to 160 and face any mw champ other than Martinez, and then come back down to fight Floyd.

This is a brainless thread. RJJ is an all-time great and first-ballot hall of famer. End of.

jones was guilty of dodging the column a bit at light heavy.

he was too satisfied with sanctioning body mandatories and pandered to by HBO.

u could argue tarver was one of the few challengers with a really good pedigree particularly after the reggie johnson fight in 99.

at middle and super middle he was brilliant though.

    no arguments. :bbb

Jones is a Glass Jawed fraud he had PLENTY of time to adjust back to Light Heavyweight some of you nuthuggers are acting like he was forced to fight Tarver 1 week after Ruiz.:rofl:patsch

He even fought Cheato Trinidad @ 170 for christ sakes was he 'weight drained' in that fight also?

Jones had no Chin and no heart and this was proven over and over again when he was not fighting off duty cops and bartenders on HBO PPV. Jones whole career is smoke and mirrors.
