Idiot, his FIRST time facing adversity? That says alot about a Middleweight who fights 2 prime all-time greats, then moves all the way to heavyweight and wins a title, then moves back down to Lt Heavy and wins the title again....and still without facing any adversity at all :rofl:rofl And you don't think the guy that did that is an ATG???

Actually the first time he faced REAL adversity is the 1st Tarver fight.

thats why jones can never be compared to real atg's like SRL and ali, because when the going got tough, SRL and ali came through adversity, had iron chins and amazing heart and could adapt to a plan B to find a way of winning, where as roy jones folded like a lawn chair showing no heart, no plan B, and disgraceful glass jaw.

roy jones is also a proven drugs cheat. why people continually ignore this fact is beyond me, his achievements should be scrubbed from the record books like ben johnson's.

None of those damn punches landed completely flush with full on power, they were all grazing punches that Roy still deflected in his own way. When Roy did/does get hit by full on flush punches with power on them he doesn't react well to them.

He faced adversity in the first Tarver fight, and pulled that out. The second fight he was just KTFO. There was nothing else he could've done to win that.

A prime RJJ is one of the most special athletes in ANY sport. He is w/o a doubt an ATG, in my book.

I like how he beats prime Toney without even sweating, CLEARLY beats Hopkins when no one has done or deserved to do since '93, and even came back from a kd against Del Valle in order to win in dominating fashion. How about ko'ing Griffin in 1 rd who was a good boxer and gave him problems in the first fight? **** thread and it's not right kicking a man when he's a shell of what he once was. **** thread.
