In what turned into the famous in studio brawl between Ali and Frazier, ABC's Wide World of Sports did a sit down interview between Ali and Frazier where they review and discussed their first match from 1971. This content is protected There's a lot to talk about here, the trash talk and banter between Ali and Frazier, the eventual brawl between the two, Ali claiming he won the fight and act like he was robbed at the beginning. This was very entertaining to watch, and while Ali and Frazier did a lot of trash talking, at certain points Howard Cosell would interject and try to get both fighters to talk about the action and what was happening in the ring. What if this type of thing happened today? If after a contentious decision, the two combatants sat down for an interview in a TV studio where they watched the entire match and commented on it, and explained in detail why they feel they won, what was happening in certain rounds, etc? Do you think it would be useful to fans to see this type of format in today's boxing? It seems to me that decisions are so hotly debated these days, it would help if we these in studio fight reviews where each fighter can review the match in its entirety and make their case for why they won.
