In the end it's still too little too late for Calzaghe...

Wins over two of the great modern legends of boxing, BHop and RJJ may look good in a resume, but it's significance will always be questioned. Joe could have come earlier in the US and fought with those guys during the time all of them are in the peak of their careers. That's the only thing missing and sorry to his fans, I am just not convinced. The delay has caused him reputation and respect befitting as P4P king and ATG...

Check out Roy's left biceps. It was torn prior to the fight. That explains why he could not do much when he had Joe hurt. He looked old, hesitant and TOO slow. Can not beat a fighter with just one arm anymore.

They should change his name to Joe Cherrypicker.

It's tough winning a prime with one arm at all, let alone at 40 years of age. Still, he knew he was unable to fight for the full 12 rounds so he should have taken more risks when he had Joe hurt in the first.

Been done to death but here goes, Bhop broke a verbal agreement with calzaghe in 02. Roy-Calz should have been made definately.

Already taken by Roy, and Floyd's in the process of suing him for rights as we speak, sorry.

I agree. He should have just went all out but that would not have been Roy. Injured or not. Can't change your style and risk when you have NEVER needed to.

That left bicep tear isn't new, and it isn't all that uncommon or damaging. My brother has it and he's able to move, lift weights and box just as well as with his other arm. Looks worse than it is.

Making a point. I take nothing from Joe. It is just something I told my friend prior to the fight during the ring walk. I am not making excuses, just an observation. That is why I wrote "I take nothing away from Joe".

i agree... calzaghe gets no credit for that roy fight in my book.. roy showed that he was completely shot to me.. i knew it when i saw how many clean punches that a overweight trinidad could land on roy... but boxing is to the point where these boxers can make names off of old washed up fighters then sail into the sunset... and the funny thing is the same idiots that give joe acclomades are the same idiots that bash mayweather.. but yet mayweather has better competition, that were undefeated prime fighters on his resume... joe calzaghe doesnt have not one future hall of famer that was in his prime on his resume
