There are some who are saying this fight does 500 to 1 million pov buys. And there are others who are predicting 400k tops

It might hit a million buys with the right promotion of the event and by stacking the undercard.

Probably about 600k. It is a big fight but neefs to be advertised aggressively.

Spence has never sold 300k, Crawford has never even sold 200k

The truth is that this is only a massive fight among boxing fans; casuals simply aren’t that interested, Spence and Crawford aren’t mainstream names

This will probably do about 600k with heavy promotion, which given the circumstances should be considered a big success. If they fail to advertise the fight hard enough then it might not even hit 500k.

Who gives a rat's ass about how much money this fight will generate. Spence and Crawford are the two best Americans in the sport and they have to fight to prove who is the strongest in the USA. :chuck:

I’d say Fury v Usyk is the biggest fight in boxing to make followed then by either Spence v Crawford or Beterbiev v Bivol. Spence v Crawford has dragged on too long and lost a bit of its lustre imo so can’t decide if that’s still the bigger fight than Beterbiev v Bivol. All three are massive fights no doubt and need to happen .

I think it's overrated.. I don't care how many fluff heads buy it... I mean what the f*** has spence done in all these years... he hasn't even cleaned out one division or challenged himself at any other weight despite being a big welterweight.. just like Crawford who's been weight grifting for years. Crawford is 36 & if the fight does happen will have had a load of inactivity leading up to it as well. I'm not even arsed about it I don't get the big fuss. It's the Americans that rely on the the fictional pound-for-pound scenarios to big up their boys making out this is some historical match up.. but in reality both of their resumes are lacking for all the hype they get and the fight itself has already passed its sell-by date. I mean they've been talking about it for years .. & what have they really done other than give a faded Kell Brook and perennial nearly man Porter a shellacking .. it's actually embarrassing the hype this fight gets considering what the substance behind it really is

Put it this way they have more chance of breaking even paying Fury & Usyk 0.5billion than if they payed Crawford/Spence their asking price.

I said a while ago that it would do 400k-600k with some decent marketing and a stacked card. It's only a big fight to the hardcore boxing fans. They would be higher profile if they'd both had some defining fights before. l think as time passes it loses some shine.
This isn't Pac v Myweather by any stretch so they should get on with it while it's still relevant.

I don't think they could sell Wilder vs Fury type of PPV.

So It's not that big, but hardcore fans want it more than any other fight for years.

This sounds about right. Although I do think this has the potential to do more if they get clever with the marketing. Some celebrity involvement, a manufactured beef or other pantomime act could push interest.

There's a lot of truth in this too. This is past its sell by date, at least in terms of each man's prime. Although I like both fighters I do think each is overrated given the activity of the likes of Innoue, Usyk, Canelo or others on the p4p lists. The business of boxing has made each man wealthy, but it's also served to keep them apart at the time when they really should've faced each other a few years ago when we could've been looking forward to a trilogy of fights. Still hope it goes ahead though rather than adding to that list of great fights we never got to see...
