I guess he'll be some sort of sympathetic hero. That fighter who always reached for the highest of goals in the face of incredible adversity (even though he loses).
In a way, I agree. Getting your ass whooped for three mil is better than fighting Chris John in Indonesia for $30K.
I think that Marquez wins the public's respect and hearts tonight, Even in defeat Marquez will show the people why he is considered the number 2 p4p fighter in the sport. He gets a career high payday +600k and will become a higher payed fighter when he moves back down in weight bottom line is that although Mayweather will defeat Marquez i think in the end his bragging rights will be tarnished by the way thing's turned out.
For all the displeasure Marquez and his team had under Arum, Arum never took JMM's best opponent prospect, fought him himself only to match JMM in a gross mismatch to get his ass handed to him.
In the grand scheme of things..also called The Big Picture..there's no glory in losing...JMM's head and body take a pounding that, ay his age, he dosen't need..a big "L" or "KO by" on his record...and more than that he'll be forgotten, remembered only as a footnote as Mayweather, the promoters and the fans step over his prostrate body on to the next opponent, the next fight..the next big event.
Having said all that, let me give the disclaimer that I WANT MARQUEZ TO WIN VERY MUCH..it's just that he isn't going to win.
