Yes. Rafael Ruelas was dropped twice challenging Pendleton & won.

Have you seen a professional boxing match wise guy?

Look at pacquiao vs marquez 1 and find out why the first round was so controversial with the scoring.

"The third judge, Burt Clements, had a 113-113 tie. His scoring included a 10-7 opening round because, he admitted later, he did not realize he could give a 10-6 round. If Clements had scored the opening round 10-6, as the other two judges had, Pacquiao would have won by 113-112 on Clements's card and earned a split decision.

"I just screwed up," Clements said. "I feel badly because I dropped the ball, plainly and simply. You can make a lot of arguments that it was a very close fight, but that's immaterial. The fact is, I dropped the ball."

This is incorrect. It's officially taught to judges as - if fighter A wins the round and scores a KD its 10-8 round to him but if fighter A wins the round but himself is KD then fighter B wins the round 10-9.

Last year Zhanat Zhakiyanov challenged Rau Warren for his WBA Super title,

Zhakiyanov was knocked down twice early on, but got up to win on points and take the belt.

I still think there are probably better examples buried way back in boxing history, but this fight is pretty close.

The knockdowns were in the same round though.

Well it will be hard to find mainly because when a fighter is dropped in two different rounds it’s isually an indicator that 1. The fighter isn’t doing well or the fight is extremely competitive. All fights are unique and this fight had 1 guy absolutely school his opponent for 9 or 10 of the rounds while suffering one flash kd and one good kd in final round.
I don’t mind this thread but it seems like some people want to use it as a reason to justify Wilder not losing when their is no justification. Fury at 70 percent put on his cap and gown and took wilder to school. Lol

I know, but it’s a rare event and this one was pretty close. Thought it was worth a mention.

Yes. Totally unbiased opinion by the assistant trainer of Tyson Fury.

    Just ignore the knockdowns.

It works out better that way if you do.

    (LOL)

I don't recall Freddie ever saying "but look who won the rest of the round" when Manny Pacquiao was dropping guys right and left.

Julio Cesar Green was also dropped twice in a round to beat Joppy for a belt.

Well, Joppy was also floored during the fight, and Joppy also lost a point during the fight. So that sort of negates the two knockdowns.

Wilder didn't go down, and Wilder wasn't deducted a point.

It's bizarre how the thread has reached page 6 and I haven't noticed a single true example yet. I feel like I must've skipped a post or something
