This is the first time that I have ever seen a fighter complain so much, and act like he has to call off a fight because his opponent is taking a tune up first.... for a fight that isn't scheduled for half a year from now!

If this is the first time, then all you are doing here with this thread is showcasing how little you know of boxing.

Lennox Lewis fought a tune-up about 8 or 9 weeks before his fight with Donovan Ruddock - the biggest fight of his career up to that point. Vitali fought Johnson 9/10 weeks after Arreola. 48 year old Evander Holyfield has 2 fights scheduled within about 7 weeks. That's not an issue and Haye is making it one.

If Wlad happens to get beaten or injured I'll be sure to remind you of this thread.

Haye has every right to be concerned with so much at steak.

you're right, he needs to be concerned about steak. after wlad shatters his punk ass jaw after easily disposing of chisora he won't be able to eat it anymore.

Well not really coz if Wlad says hes happy to do that then Haye can rest assured that if the fight then DOESNT happen..the world will know it was Wlads fault.

Hayes making an issue of it....because he wants a way out:deal.

The ****** should just fight Vitali instead then

wrong. Lennox fought Ruddock 10/11 weeks after fighting Mike Dixon. thats 3 more weeks than wlad will have

Vitali fought Arreola. Won comfortably THEN arranged a Johnson fight AFTEr that! thats the difference. There is no guarantee whatsoever that wlad wont pick up a slight knock or a cut against chisora. If he does then the 2nd july date does not go ahead. WHY take such a risk and put the fight in jeopardy like that?

The whole 'one tough, one tune up' plan that so many boxers seem to be on is just ****in up the sport...

Really? do you watch boxing much? One of the biggest built up Mega fights of our time... Oscar De La Hoya vs Bernard Hopkins. They BOTH fought tune-ups on the same night in June, then fought each other in September. Not much different from April and July is it?

Some fighters like to stay active... especially when they have 2 Television dates in their hands and can use them both. It's very common for fighters to fight that often. Usually once they get real big, they have to go by what TV dates they are given by whatever network they have a TV deal with. Wlad has 2 dates available to him, and he is taking them both. What true boxing fan would EVER bash a champion for wanting to be MORE active? Other than delusional Haye fans... I haven't found any that would.

Why would Wlad chose to stay on the shelf for nearly an entire year? He has the option for a tune-up first... especially a tune-up that was a previous scheduled fight called off due to injury... but it's also a fight against a fighter from Haye's home country which will only build even more interest for this fight.

i cant stand haye any more than wlad! I just want to see this fight get DONE!

And i know one thing. Its ridiculous to arrange a mandatory just 8 weeks before a potential MEGA fight.

Just think of this. If floyd and pac agreed to ALL terms, then pac turns around and says oh im fighting Berto 8 weeks before our fight, what would floyd say?!?!

I dont care much for either fighter i just want to see the fight get made. and as a fight fan i think its stupid that wlad would put this fight in jeopardy by fighting 8 weeks before. ANYTHING could happen. he could tweak a muscle, get a cut. then the haye fight is off!

Haye didnt even get hit in his last fight...he barely threw any punches. yet, watch this jack ass stay out of the ring for 6-9 months minimum.

Its not just haye, there are a lot fo candy ass figthers these days who dont fight regularly enough. It kills boxing.

Ruddock/Lewis would hardly qualify as a Mega Fight anyway and therefore is non-comparable.

Wlad certainly isn't on that plan. He is simply staying active. Wlad never fights tune-ups. Howver, if he doesn't in this case, he will inactive for almost a year. Who wants to see a Champ in his prime inactive for nearly a year?
