    I dont want reasons etc.

but it would be interesting to think up a list of who wlad hasnt actually fought from the last 5 years. opponents which would improve his legacy.

the obvious first would be vitali.

    so far i got

    vitali
    haye
    arreola
    toney
    maskaev
    briggs
    lyakovic
    valuev
    ruiz

is there any other credible heavies he hasnt fought?

remember this aint a bashing thread, i aint saying the fights should have happened, i am merely interested to see how many credible opponents are missing from his resume.

Who here really believes him beating the **** out of Ruiz would improve anything?

Briggs fought Ibragimov after Lyakovic and lost. Hence Wlad fought Ibragimov instead of Briggs. Briggs never got a chance because he never put himself in position to fight for the title.

You might add Rahman, Johnson and maybe Gomez to that list, but that's about it.

i remember how much hype lyahovich got and how everybody pushed for the wlad fight and how many ppl picked sergey

    I'd watch Areolla

But of the names i'd love a valuev fight

    going off tangent.

the thread aint about why the fights didnt come off.

but undoubtedly, IMO, had briggs fought wlad instead of ibragimov, and had wlad won that fight, it would have improved his legacy.

thats all the thread is. just a casual look at missing names.

i was thinking about them. the rahman fight would have been good whlst he was belt holder.

johnson did receive quite a bt of hype didnt he, as boring as the fight would have been t would have benefited his legacy.

gomez, not to sure about that one.
