I think Fitzsimmons' once said he would "kill" Corbett if he touched him outside the ring. Probably just temper talking, but the guys really didn't like each other.

This is going to be a great book!

I'm looking forward to Jeffries most of all because he's one of my favourites, but I have a feeling this will be your best work, old chap.

You have to order it, from Lulu.com, I think it is. But Adam will bang up a link when the book is available.

I think you can get his Sullivan work on Amazon though, if you want fancy a look at that.

I've started reading this book, guys, and it's great. Very well researched as usual. There is substantial amounts of information in the early chapters from Australian primary sources that reveals some new things about Fitz's career that contradict some of the established reports and previous books.

As someone who does historical research, I am continually impressed with the breadth and depth of documentation provided in these books. I think even if someone was an authority on Fitzsimmons, there would be information that was new to them in this book.
