I'm not defensive I just don't like people smearing others without any proof to back up there slander and libel. Not only do I find it offensive, I find it extremely cowardly too.
Freemasonry has nothing to do with this thread, you seem to have a fixation about it,so why not take your fixation where it belongs ,to the General Lounge?

I just find it odd how you like these cult fighters who used worm and be a ton them. Dempsey had a real dark side. Never have I posted much on it, but it's out there.

It would be one thing to bet on yourself or any fighter to just win. The odds in this fight were relatively close at 6-5.

It is quite another to bet on a first round knockout. Perhaps a small side bet for a fun gamble, but the whole purse?

All I know for certain about it is that they lost the bet.

But then I am the sort who believes in investing, not gambling.

By the way, if I were Kearns and made this bet, I would certainly have taken Dempsey in on what was going down. I wouldn't want to risk his being cautious during a feel out first round.

Kellerman is a fool. He is a total fraud. Given the discrepancy I don’t think 75” is out of the question. Doesn’t matter anyway as Dempsey’s style didn’t rely on reach. It’s moot really so arguing over 2” to 3” is pretty pointless.

It's 2020 and people are still arguing over something 101 years ago that has been debunked countless times lmao.

You once posted that Dempsey raped virgins in brothels for white slavers, and broke his Wife's jaw .You are a fine poster, one of the best here ,but on the subject of Dempsey I would take more notice of one of my dogs than you .

Yes, it was Kid McCoy he referenced. Although I do think he worked with Fitzsimmons as well.

I would find Fleischer's supposed presence in Dempsey's dressing room suspect. Fleischer had a habit of pretending he was omniscient when in fact he was often nowhere near the events he pretended to be present at and in a lot of cases contradicted whether he was there or not.

Those weren't my assertions but those of Jack Kearns. I believe he might have known more about the situation than even your dogs.

You could just reference his columns detailing the fight or even if he was there. Ive found several times when a particular columnist told a story about a training camp, fight, etc years later from his perspective only to research his column for that time period and discover he was covering something else. This is one of the reasons why its so important to use contemporaneous reports and not rely on the word of someone taken years later. For instance Fleischer has talked about being at the Johnson-Jeffries fight but he wasnt. And sometimes you can even find him admitting he wasnt, but it didnt stop him from telling the story sometimes that he was. Like I said, he liked to give the impression that he was everywhere and saw everything boxing related when in fact he wasnt close. He typically stayed in the familiar confines of the East Coast metropolitan area. Nothing wrong with that and totally understandable.
