    That's an easy $100 spent.

Along the "bad for boxing" lines, I am very careful about the PPV's I buy for that reason. I don't want reward bad matchups with more money.

Most people picking Robinson have never seen a full fight of his. Most people picking Robinson don't know more than 1 or 2 names on his resume. Most people only know Robinson because other "experts" and fighters like Ali, and Leonard mentioned his name.

    These are facts.

If people are complaining about Pacquiao fighting Marquez for the 4th time, just imagine what it'd be like hearing the announcement of Robinson-Lamotta 6?

That`s because you haven`t seen Ray fight... its the only explanation.

Incorrect, throughout my life I was blessed to see many Ray Robinson fights because of my late grandfather and his friends being huge boxing fanatics. I remember sitting in the attic with my grandfather watching old Sugar Ray and Joe Louis fights on his old projector.

Robinson never caught my eye like Ali, Louis, Leonard, or Floyd did.

And if you had actually seen the SRR-Lamotta 6 full fight, you would feel foolish for saying `fmj by a wide margin`..... Robinson put on a masterclass of extreme beauty & brutality, it was phenomenal.

I wonder if that fight was say a few months ago if you would order it or be praising Robinson in such light.

So many people want what they don't have, that they don't appreciate what they do have.

I find that very difficult to believe, all of those guys are amongst the top 10-15 most gifted boxers ever caught on film likely but Robinson was the best, how could you not appreciate him more than floyd ?

There is only one fighter I`ve ever seen fight that I`d seriously consider choosing to see live before Robinson & that`s a prime Willie Pep.

You weren`t super impressed with the Robinson performance over Lamotta in 1951 ?

Do I count, T? Got boxing tips from SRR in the gym, and starting with his win over Tommy Bell in the ol' Garden for the interim welter title, was ringside for all his bouts in the N.Y. tri-state area.

Robinson never catching my eye doesn't mean I was never impressed. Was I over the top like you? Of course not sir. We all have our opinions. Some people like Duran, some people don't. Some people like Ali, some people don't. You can't force me into liking Robinson as much as I like Floyd. I never got to see Robinson during the full span of his career, but I have for Floyd. That's the main reason why I appreciate him alot more than I do Robinson.
