In this case it will be Pacquiao, the brawler against Hatton, the boxer.

What do you think? I'd say Hatton has underrated boxing skills and should he keep his head, he will be the one doing the more intelligent boxing and counter punching whilst Pacquiao will be jumping in brawling but trying to get out before Hatton can catch him. I think wether Hatton can time Pacquiao and catch him coming in will be the biggest deciding factor of the fight otherwise he could be in for a long night.

Staying on the outside and boxing Pacquiao is the worst thing he could do. Pac's speed and movement would cut him up.

Never said he will be staying on the outside, he'll do what he does best and fight up close but his boxing skills will be used more than many seem to think.

I think Hatton will KO Pacquaio. Pacquaio hasnt got hit in the face in the whole year and it was Marquez who wobbled him and that fight was at 130. If Hatton hits Pacquaio flush and doesnt do anything ( which I highly doubt) than Hatton is going to mtake a beating, now if it wobbles him or you can tell it hurt him than Hatton has got a shot to KO Pacquaio. CANT WAIT!!!

yes but that was a perfect shot from marquez that wouldve ko'd a lot of lightweights. that shot was a bomb yet pac was able to shrug it off, not like he was on ***** street or something.

pac has a decent chin, which hatton may find difficult to crack, but if he does, i have no doubt pac would get ko'd. on the other hand, if hatton is able to absorb multiple lefts to the face and still stand after 12, hes looking at a long term damage.

Nah....Hatton will be the aggressor, BUT I think PAC will control the action and PACE with his combination punching and movment. PAC won't be backing up which I think Hatton is expecting....Look for pac to show some angles and lateral movement that will keep Hatton's feet from ever being completely set to get leverage on his shots. The Jab will be KEY for PAC and it should be KEY for Hatton...unfortunately SPEED and EXPLOSIVENESS will be on PAC's side so I think the winner of the Jabbing Contest will most likely be PAC....and everything else will work itself out off the jab. Which is why I see an early night and PAC as the winner.

You know, with Floyd Sr. in his corner it's not beyond the realm of reality. Close, but not beyond.

Ricky has underrated footspeed, but he uses it to dart in moving forward. It's conceivable he tries to get on his toes and use his jab (he did box Malinaggi pretty well), but if he does that, he negates his supposed size and strength advantage over Manny.

Manny hasn't been a pure brawler for years. He isn't going to spontaneously "revert" for this fight.

Actually I think he might! But only in spots when he feels he has enough time, the correct position and at the right moment to Brawl. After all PAC likes to give the fans exciting fights and hopefully that won't cause him to loose to the bigger man. Like I said before....Hatton has a chance, but i think his chance comes when Manny falls off the game plan! I hope he fights intelligent enough to avoid EVEN exchanges with the natrually bigger Jr WW.

Neither of these fighters are ever involved in jabbing contests, I have seen almost all of Hattons fights and all of Pacquiao's since Barrera 1. These 2 are just going to collide in the center of the ring and Hatton will be trying to impose his will on Pac and back him up so Pac won't have a choice. Wether he can do that is a different matter thoughh.

True, he will not be stupid enough to "revert" and I made a bold statement but I think Hatton will counter him effectively at times. Although it could easilly go the other way.

I think as long as the fight is on even terms, we will see Manny fight a very smart, very technical fight. If he smells blood in the water though, you know he'll step on it. Who know, maybe he leaves the door open?

This will be an excellent fight, whoever takes it!

Yea, i think his only real chance of winning will be by timing him and if hes lucky, getting Pac to the ropes and beating on him
