I gotta call you out on this. In Tyson's prime (lets say, up to the Douglas fight), Mike actually outweighed 21 of his opponents, with 3 the same, and only 13 outweighed him. Even if some of those were earlier in his career (and not all of them are), there are notable examples where Tyson was the heavier man (e.g. Berbick, Thomas, Spinks, Carl Williams, Tillman, Holyfield, Norris, Etienne, and weighed the same as Tucker and Holyfield 2). So no, Tyson was not outweighed by almost every man he ever fought - unless you started following boxing in 2000 when the best Mike was long since gone.

People are delusional. Marciano would have a hard time with today's Cruisers. Forget the Heavies...he's too small and he'd get blasted out.

David Haye would knock him out in less than 4 rounds. Either Klit could knock him out in less than 2. Tyson Fury would brutalize him in a round or 2. Imagine...a whole foot in height advantage...almost laughable.

He's too small and he doesn't have the mobility to get away from bigger, stronger fighters. He'll struggle to land against bigger guys, but that's not even the biggest problem. He'd get overwhelmed. If he was alive today, he'd be a Light Heavyweight.

Maybe......that is IF he could get the unification bouts needed for such a title.

However....... that 0 woulda been erased at some point on his way to achieving it.

Undoubtedly Marciano would be a top 10 HW if he wieghed 215lbs and fought in this era. Just as he would have been in Lewis or Tysons or Alis.

He was a tough SOB......likely on par with Marco Huck, but with similar skills as Potvetkin.:think

Marciano would have started his career at SMW in todays day and age with weigh ins taking place 24 hours beforehand, aswell as advances in training and PEDs.

I'm a huge admirer of Marciano's, but no, he's too small to compete against the Klitschko's and Lewis' of this world.
There is nothing more to really say on the issue. Even if he were to put on 20 lbs of solid muscle, I'm not convinced he could compete.

It's not that he lacks the skill, but he just too damn small. Hell, even in his own era he was considered a little on the small side.

That said, he was still an iron-hard anvil of a man, an undefeated heavyweight champion and worthy of our respect.

With the way fighters cut weight he would be a light heavy weight.
