I think Calzaghe might get a stoppage due to accumulation. Keep in mind that Hopkins was so gassed that he had to fake a low blow to catch his breath.

Roy is not even close to the same fighter he once was. He doesn't throw enough punches to beat Calzaghe by decision, so he has to be thinking KO. And seeing as how he hasn't stopped anyone since 2002, and how Calzaghe has never been in serious trouble, the odds aren't very good.

Roy's power came from his speed, and has his speed has diminished so has his power. If he had anything left at all, he'd have stopped Trinidad for sure.

This is a bull**** fight built around the big names of the fighters, nothing more.

We are talking about Glass Jaw Roy Jones though, his chin is very weak. When Glen Johnson knocks you silly you have a very weak chin.

I love when people try and twist it and call Johnson a 'puncher' just because he KOed Roy. Johnson is NOT a puncher and never has been.

It's pretty sad when we have much more childish, pointless threads then anything else.

RJJ has a shot in this fight. He's naturally bigger, more powerful, and he can still put together lightning combinations. That will give him a fighter's chance. And that's why as a RJJ fan, i want this fight to happen. The biggest thing for RJJ is that his opponent won't be able to hurt him.

Dood, compared to Calzaghe, Johnson hits like an elephant, a dinosaur, or a nuclear bomb

    More accurate last line:

Calzaghe is NOT a puncher and never has been

Joe's punching prowess = SMW Paulie Mag

In the Johnson fight, he lost all but one round prior to the KO.

    That's domination.

I kept waiting for the turnaround that never came.

After that fight, I concluded he was shot.

In his prime, Roy could have picked which round to KO Tito.

Now maybe he carried him a bit for whatever reason, but he looked decidedly unimpressive against an opponent who was himself pretty close to being shot.

In his prime, Roy beats any version of Joe.

Joe is well along in his own decline but he's got much more left than Roy, and should coast to a UD, or if he steps up the pressure, a stoppage against what was once the best boxer alive.

Well the hook that floored Eubank could easily finish off Jones, but Joe doesnt throw punches with that much venom anymore

Yeah but the diffrence is Jones has been taking shots from lt heavies for yrs ..Unless Jones fights in the same manner he did against Johnson I don't see him knocking out Jones ..Joe outworking him is more realistic .
