I don't think Toney can KO Haye or any decent fighter

B/c of the Thompson fight. But he may have a soild beard.....but the HW division is a lot different than cursierwieght. So many are still waiting to see how he takes his first HW punch.

Uh, Carl Thompson KOed him, and he was KDed by Mock and Mormeck. Concerns about his chin are warranted, but not concerns that light-hitting James Toney, who hasn't scored a knockout against a legitimate opponent since the mid-90's, will knock him out.

LOL....James isn't over rated dude. He's earned his respect and paid his dues. At HW he's not the very best but he can compete with the very best and that is without question.

Toney is on the decline. He's been pushing the fat envelope for years, and the limit to effectiveness was 217, which he was for Holyfield. Good win that was, and if James maintained that weight , he'd have been alright. But since, he's just been getting fatter to the point where he can't maneuver properly. Haye has more potential than any of the heavyweight pretenders, and if Toney can't beat fellow chubbo Sam Peter, Haye will smash "Lights Out" to obese bits.

Hahahaha good one, that was great. I dont think Toney has much of a chance, maybe 6 or 7 years ago he would but at 5'10" and now chubby I just dont think he has the tools to defeat the young and fast paced Haye. He may have been able to counterpunch his way to a points win years ago but now I think its all over for Toney. I say Haye KO Toney 7 of 12.

The thread starter is an idiot to say the least there is no option for a haye win or even going to points so the only thing that comes to mind is he is a narrow minded ****. :-(

Toney has no power at heavy weight for a start :huh He has one stoppage win against a holyfield that was spitting dust and even that was 5 years ago yes toney hasnt stopped any one for 5 years

He only managed a sd :bart against Batchelder who has been stopped 3 times and lost 6 times in 31 fights ffs, this serious underating of haye has got to stop.

This is a terrible post bro...no offense, but comparin the power and ability of a proven HW in Sam Peter to an unporoven Haye is a bit off. Haye would probably get KO'd by Sam peter and outboxed by James Toney. David can probably do well at HW but its just speculation b/c he hasn't faught anyone at HW...Sam and Toney have. We still don't know if Dave's Power transalates in to "HW Power". He might not carry as big a gun that he did at 200 pounds.

No, Thompson stopped him on his feet after Haye's corner threw the towel in. That is not the same as being KO'd. Haye punched himself out in that fight, he made a rookie mistake in his 11th fight and it cost him. Full credit to him for taking such a fight in only his 11th pro contest.

Even this newb knows that Haye gassed against Thompson. I just watched it on Youtube again. Haye was lazy in his training, naive in trying to bomb Thompson out and got his ass handed to him as a result. Chinny? Not in that fight. He ate shot after shot from Thompson in the 5th before going down. That fight put a question mark over Haye's stamina but not his whiskers. Watch it now and then come and tell me different.

    hayes chin isn't glass

It may not be cast iron but its not total rubbish lets not forget he was going into his cruiser fights totaly weight drained, man was killing himself to make the division. He was supposed to move up after the mormec fight but because public demand in britain he took on enzo. Now if your weight drained it affects your punch resistance, speed and power and half respecting fan of boxing knows and understands this, except if your a total moron :patsch
