Where he was completely dominated and anihilated, destryed altough you were bragging to your friends how he would win?Mine is when my boy Arturo Gatti was TKOed by Carlos Baldmoir.I really thought Arturo could pull it off,I was having friends over, making bets and all and Gatti really let me down.Your picks?

Tito against Winky I really thought Tito could hurt Winky, but that was not the case. He got embaressed, and so did I.

When Vasquuez quit against Rafa in the first fight . . . can't blame the guy though . . . that's a legit nose injury.

i wouldn't call it letting me down but nigel benn in his latter career, losing to malinga and collins twice, he just couldn't recall his past glories and it was painful to watch.

also, not my favorite boxer but seeing hamed dominated by the legend that is barrera was disapointing , living in england you watch these guys develop and that night hameds career came to a shuddering halt, you always suspected it would happen and sometimes with hamed even hoped but to see such a talented guy who's career you'd followed get battered like that was a bit sad.

Pick pretty much any Zab loss, they were all very dissapointing. His performance and resulting behavior against Tsyzu was really dissapointing. The Baldo dissaster may have eclipsed it though.

That wasn't sad, it was hilarious from start to finish :D

Mine would be Sibson against Hagler most likely. Never thought he'd win but thought he'd look better than he did....but he was facing in my opinion the best version of Hagler ever that night. McGuigans losses hurt a bit too, always liked him as a fighter and a human being, until he jumped on the Calslappy bandwagon.

Both Lewis losses were very disappointing but they were erased by the rematches. I was very young when Ali lost to Spinks and Holmes and they felt like let-downs at the time but in hindsight considering Ali's condition back then they weren't terrible losses.

All of my favourite fighters big losses have been understandable, not disappointing at all. Pac lost to Morales (a great great fighter). Marquez lost to Pac (I think JMM sneaked it). Hopkins lost to Taylor and Calzaghe (he was over 40, didn't have the stamina but still showed better skills than his opponent and only lost on workrate). Jones Jr lost to Tarver and Johnson (he was/is shot). David Haye lost to Carl Thompson (totally self-inflicted defeat that has helped Haye so so much in his development).

I suppose the only ones where I've actually felt let down have been JM Marquez losing to Chris John, and James Toney losing to Montell Griffin and Drake Thadzi.

It has to be Lewis against Rahman.

Off the world stage, and one fight that is in recent memory, is Danny Williams against John McDermott. Despite being a big fan, Williams is one of the most infuriating fighters to watch sometimes.

Morales in the 3rd Pacquiao fight. I knew he was done but i thought he would last longer. Looking in his eyes when he was down was heart breaking.
He was such a warrior and when you see a guy with that look you know he is hurting inside. However those 3 rounds he gave it all and tried to knock Pac out.
I think people tend to overlook how good those 3 rounds were. It was an actual battle all throughout but MOrales legs just werent there.

Another one for me is . . . when Pacquaio failed to finish off JMM after 3 KD's in the first fight.

I wouldn't say let down as he gave it his all during the fight but I was a little disheartened when Tyson lost to Douglas. Tyson appeared indestructible around that time, and "the baddest man on the planet". As a kid at the time it was possible to believe that even more so. Then the whole thing came crashing down in Tokyo. The myth exploded - bubble burst.
