In your gut, who do you thinks win Cotto vs. Margarito?

I think Margarito will win a blood and guts fight. I think he has the perfect style to beat Cotto. I'll go with Margarito tenth round KO or sooner.

 

I'm confident Cotto would win. He's much better than Margo. I know styles make fight. But Cotto won't melt under pressure. His power punching would take its tall.

 

Cotto will win, people seem to forget how a basic fighter like Clottey gave Margarito all kinds of problems before quitting. Cotto has beaten the better opposition and I think he is a much more versatile fighter.

Yes.

1. Cotto does not have a weak chin. This is a myth, the only time he has been down was at 140 (killing himself to make weight) and he was pretty much pushed. Cotto has fought punchers and he has never been in serious danger of being stopped (Corley wobbled him yes, but Corley also wobbled FMJ and no one ever brings that up in regards to Floyd, because wobbled isn't as bad as being down).


2. Margarito isn't as big of a puncher as everyone would like to think. He is like Cotto in that he wears you down through multiple punches, not just one.

I'd say a guy like Judah with his speed is more dangerous a puncher than Margarito. That being said, Judah is a mental midget and doesn't handle pressure well at all, and is also weak chinned. Margarito has a great chin and keeps punching, I just think a lot of his punches will be blocked and parried and Cotto will pick him apart as the rounds go on.
