In your mind, what does Alvarez have to do now to become the number 1 Mexican of all time?

He has already done more than Sanchez. While Olivares was my number four all-time favorite fighter on Rumsfeld's recent poll I am not sure he tops Alvarez either. Beating Bivol and a couple years more longevity may put him at number one for me, ahead of Chavez. That being said, I am not sure he needs to beat Bivol to convince me.

In terms of longevity at the top yes, he hasn't had more decisive wins over top competition than Sanchez though by some distance.

Fighting 4 or 5 cab drivers between every significant fight isn't going to add to his legacy.

If he unifies Light heavy weight he is there with NO Question!
Hell if he KOs Bivol alone he is prolly there truthfully speaking.

Did Chavez do that? Or is that another made up fairy tale like he made defenses against guys with less than 10 fights? Show me the proof.

He mentioned recently that he might retire in 2028 (6 years) so even if he just fights twice a year, he can accomplish a lot in that period of time.

If he beats Bivol, then the winner of Beterbiev/Smith Jr he's done it for me.

lol Canelo could never go heavyweight, I'm skeptical of him at cruiser.

LHW is the max Canelo should ever go.

There's no way Canelo has done more Sanchez.
