I can see Spence... as he doesn't deserve to be regarded as "one of the best in the sport" but for some reason everybody seems to go along with that. I fancy he has the skills to, but such claims are only backed up by beating great opposition.

How can you genuinely expect anyone to take anything you say seriously with comments like that?

Canelo won the first 3 rounds and the last 3 and GGG won all the middle rounds. Easy fight to score 6 rounds each draw.

Luis Ortiz, that Cuban heavyweight who's never won a title, Luis Ortiz. The guy who lost to the biggest fraud in heavyweight boxing Deontay Wilder, eeeeerrrrrr.....what's his name again? Oh yeah, Luis Ortiz and the greatest heavyweight never to hold a world title, Luis Ortiz along with Anthony Yarde who is a Krushing KO defeat waiting to happen.

Yep, even though G was a defending champion and outlanded canelo, also pressed forward for the whole fight and was the agressor it's very easy to score it as a draw since ginger was still alive in the end of the fight.
If you judge the fight by 1920s standards you're actually correct, since the rules were if there's no KO its s draw.

None of these guys are overrated to the level of Canelo. Canelo is ranked in the top 5 p4p. He should have 5 losses
on his resume. I don't personally believe he's h2h in the top 3 at JMW, MW, or SMW yet he is the ring MW champion, again
top 5 p4p, very likely ranked in the top 5 at SMW (despite beating a SMW titlist that wasn't even in the top 10), and was formely ranked as the top JMW despite a dodgy record and not even always fighting at the JMW limit. I'm not disputing he's an excellent fighter but................

Again, who is more overrated than Canelo?

I’m also noticing that people on this forum seem to think a fighter should be demoted due to age, regardless of the level they perform at.

I completely agree with this but thought I may just be biased because he is my favourite boxer. There was a thread not too long ago where most thought Miller beats him - baffles me.

Whyte can’t do 12 rounds with Miller; he barely could with Parker. Put on gloves and get it in the ring with someone who weighs a lot more and marches forward and it’ll make sense.

The problem with Spence (And the charlo bros to an extant, as well as others) is they heap all these accolades, get placed as ELITE fighters when none of the three has done a whole lot as of yet. They are all very talented, but we all know it takes more than just talent to succeed in boxing. The charlo's both got good tough fights they needed a couple of weeks ago. And now some posters claim they might beat 3G... people need to just slow down a little.
