I'm curious as to why you think he is "featherfisted".. Is it because people who are not boxers or fought him says so?

Hagler definitely wasn't a complete fighter.

That would make SRL ultra complete.

Mayweather isn't complete either. His hands are too brittle.

SRR is the closest thing to a complete fighter.

I like the Hagler Answer. Good defense, can fight inside and outside, good Power, good chin, decent head movement, but I'm thinking Prime Ali. The only thing he lacks is an inside game.

    Probably Sugar Ray Leonard.

Had Tommy Hearns an iron chin, I`m convinced he could have been the GOAT.

I can't even decide who was the most complete out of the Fab Four (other than canceling out Hearns, he's below the other 3 in completeness).

Picking the most complete ever is way too difficult

Hagler was very complete. A boxer who could brawl, stamina, solid parrying and slipping skills, iron chin, ATG jab, heavy hands, good combos, bodypunching, good movement, above average speed. His hands were slow compared to the rest of the Fab 4 in their primes, but overall it was pretty good.

Only real weakness I can think of was he had a pretty underdeveloped straight left for such a complete, versatile fighter

Obviously no fighter is perfect. the point of this thread is who's the most complete. good answers so far though.

Agree with Ali, Hagler so far

would like to have seen more of salvador sanchez. still waiting to see triple G be tested. roberto duran at his best was very 'complete', as was hector camacho. i haven't watched many of sugar ray robinsons fights, yet. muhammad ali at his best was pretty 'complete' also, when he wanted to actually fight and not clown.
