Including this weekends fight, Josh Taylor’s last 7 opponents have had a combined record of 162-1! That is impressive.
Can any other current world champ match those stats in terms of combined opposition records?

In Tyson Fury's LAST FIVE fights, his opponents had a combined record of 168-1-2.

Hey guys, I need help figuring this out. What is so impressive about having a combined record from multiple opponents of over 100 fights (even if an opponent is not an elite level fighter)? Can someone please give me their perspective on why?

This just tells me there's a lot of guys with a lot of carefully matched meaningless wins.

Undefeated fighters should be a rarity since the tops guys should be fighting each other instead of sitting on that "0" until there 30+

That's quite a lot of undefeated fighters he's beaten. Goes to show he has not been protected, as compared to so many young fighters today who avoid top competition instead feasting on low level journeymen or shot and worn former top fighters in an effort to get a name on the resume.

Taylor is a breath of fresh air in the sport and should be receiving more coverage and accolades.

And three of them were the same guy, a guy who in this forum is Routinely described as having no boxing skills, poor footwork, no jab. PLUS a journeyman who cut Furys face into pieces where anyone other than Fury the fight would have been stopped and Fury lose on cuts.

This 7 fighter stretch is very cool (I took a look at a few other records and it appears to be a rare feat), but he hasn't exactly rushed for it.

He's the same age as Canelo and stepped up in his late 20s. Basically the standard track or a little slow. He stayed in the amateurs a long time to figure things out, which is nice to see as someone who wants meaningful amateur boxing to continue, but he did bide his time and is a product of careful, strategic management.

    Artur Beterbiev.
The last 6 opponents had a score of 125 - 1 - 4 before the match with Artur Beterbiev.

Are you referring to the guy whose last SIX fights were against opponents with a combined 165-2-2 record?

JT has unified an entire division, has beaten five world champions, and is ranked #5 P4P in just 18 fights

Half the P4P top 10 and most world champions hadn't even won their first world title by the same stage of their careers

Can I have some chips to put on that tomato ketchup please?
