Everyone knew Setanta was going under. It just took a while to actually happen. Haye had a contract to not only fight but to promote his own stable of fighters on the tv channel. £16m in total I think. He lost a lot more than any of us will probably ever know inc fighters.
I'd imagine the changes in date were down to trying to sell the fight to Sky.

No, they weren't. This is all nonsense to give Have a free pass on running from the fight. Hell... it's 2011 and he's still running. It doesn't matter if the Network is going under. It happened AFTER the fight was to take place, and they would still be legally obligated to pay him for the fight.

Haye faked an injury, lied to Klitschko... lied to his fans... lied to the world... and is still running 2 years later. Sorry, I am not drinking the Koolaid.

The facts are Wlad made a video calling Haye out saying he can't run forever, Haye agreed to every one of his demands to make the fight happen and Wlad decides to fight Chisora because he doesn't think Haye will show.

How ****ing ******ed does that make Wlad look?!:lol::lol:

To everyone other than Haye fans.... its pretty simple. If Haye wasn't a coward he would still fight Wlad on July 2nd. I don't give a **** if Wlad planned on fighting twice from until then. It's 6 months away, ffs.

Okay. You are one of those people who have their mind made up, regardless of the facts. Wlad could fight Ivan Calderon and you'd codone it as a legitimate fight. his much is clear to me now. You're part of a strange group of people on here who are incapable of viewing things from any perspective other than one from which the brothers are right. Therefore discussing anything with you is a waste of time. Its' a bit bizarre, but oh well.

I'm a fan of boxing as a whole, and although I naturally have fighters I like, I am able to call them out on their bull**** when it happens. I don't idolize them, they're JUST BOXERS! I called out for Hatton not fighting Witter at British level, Haye fighting Harrison last year purely for cash instead of taking a mandatory or pursuing a unification there and then, Mayweather and Pacquaio for their bull****. There's nothing wrong with being critical you know

No I wouldn't. I don't even give a **** about Chisora.... and I don't think that he deserves a title shot. However, I realize that Wlad wants to stay active, and had already agreed to a fight with him... so it's reasonable that he wanted to squeeze that fight in during his downtime. I don't mind a Champ taking fights like that if he is staying active. I would much rather see Wlad vs Haye or Povetkin, but you can't force guys into the ring who don't want to fight. It's sad really... I have never seen a time where two top challengers find every reason and excuse to NOT fight the Champ. Hell, they won't even fight each other. Wlad has consistently fought all of the top guys out there.

Just leave that widdow fella he's thick as **** too. He doesn't get it, he doesn't wanna get it even though ive spelled it out to him 30 times. Always waffling on about 2009.

Just let him be in his little Wlad world he seems quite content.

at first it was for april... then Sky said no... then it was for may then june with issues in each month.... when it became available for July..thats when Wlad decided he wanted a fight in between, not before that like you think it is.

im sorry, i just dont see what the issue is. Haye could have worked it out to have Vitali step in or be compensated $$$$$ if wlad couldnt make it.

it could have been worked out but Haye threw up his hands and walked away.....hmmmm, where have i seen that before:hey

look at Adamek... he is making a fight for september with Wlad...and is fine with Vitali stepping in if wlad cant and DOESNT CARE what wlad does before the fight...... why couldnt Haye do the same?????

Because with the chisora fight it is no longer a unification, therefore he gets stripped. Wlad cannot guarantee he beats chisora can he, so the wba would strip haye. Then if wlad did lose we have a pointless non title fight.

If I worked for wlad i'd defend him too, but all he had to do was choose haye over chisora. Because of this haye has to fight a mandatory defence in may, only real option is to take on vitali if both get past their mandatory defences

Because he is a chicken **** ducker..........................He could have fought him....what did it was the fact that he saw Wlad didn't need that much time to prepare for him. It hurt his ego, because he saw that him fighting Wlad is bigger for him, than it is to Wlad. It hurt his feelings and bruised his fragile little ego, then couple that with his already fear of the Klits, it wouldn't have taken much for him to walk. Smart move of Wlad, having contingency plans in dealing with some one as flaky and unreliable as Haye.:good

The Klits are active, Haye is not, actions speak louder than words.
