    Do you know any boxers that can look like **** in one fight, and then inexpicably look amazing in the next, and then again in the following fight look like **** again?

    I have thought about it, but I can't think of one, i'm sure there are a few out there.

    There are obviously many variables to take in to consideration, but i hope you know what i'm getting at.

    Good call. I was thinking about Devon Alexander. He first UDs Maidana (looked amazing), and then loses to limited Porter and then again UDs JSK.

    i think paulie malignaggi is a little inconsistent, in just the way he looks in different fights, but he did mainly just lose to all the top guys

    Yes. Maybe I was a little hard on him. But in my opinion he would lose to Maidana, and thats the point: he loses to Porter but UDs Maidana. I'm not that great at the technical stuff, but in my eyes it wasn't because of 'styles make fights'.

    I just read up on Laing on Wiki. What a waste of a career, and life.

    i dont know porter can box a little too and mix it up wheras maidana mainly does the same thing all night, a lot of people say maidana was in a bad spot againts alexander too and the new trainer did him a world a good. devon might be a little inconsistent alright him and khaan have kind of mixed records but i think its just there leve;s

    I guess, everything else being equal, it boils down to a mental thing. I came to think of the McCall and Lewis fights. McCall knocks out the champ in the first fight, and then in the rematch starts to cry in the ring and refuses to sit down in his corner between the rounds. I don't know if he had problems in his personal life? That's what i'm talking about. Fighters that seems to lose interest in the middle of a fight, or slick fighters that suddenly goes berzerk for some reason.

    He would.... lose to Maidana? :blood After having completely SCHOOLED and dominated him winning every single round?

    Mayweather promotion's HYPE has really elevated Maidana from his c+ level fighter status in the eyes of some people. :-((

    @antonio plaisir

    That was a really good fight. I noticed how low he held his hands. I guess you can get away with that if you have Laings feet and balance. Like two minutes into the 3rd round when he spins of the ropes and fires immediatly, everything basically in the same move. That was insane. Thanks for the advice. :good
