    Wayne McCullough

The man could soak up insane amounts of punches and still keep pressing forward like a non stop wind up toy.

Morales and Hamed were both coming off lengthy KO streaks at Super Bantam and Feather until they met Wayne and neither man could even stun let alone stop him despite landing plenty. The much larger Scott Harrison was the same story.

McCullough had a couple of retirement losses late in his career when his body gave out but his chin never once did and he finished his career without ever once suffering a single KD.

An incontrovertibly titanium chin if there ever was one.

Mike McCallum - Took good shots from guys like Donald Curry, Julian Jackson, James Toney, Roy Jones Jr and was never stopped.

Panama Al Brown was only down once in 168 fights.

Pancho Villa was never down in 104 fights.

Salvador Sanchez deserves a mention aside from the Badillo fight when he was still an up and coming fighter ive never seen him hurt and that includes two fights against murderous puncher Danny Lopez, Wilfredo Gomez and Azumah Nelson.

Monzon only down once In his career in his last fight against the great colombian fighter Rodrigo Valdez.

James Toney was down a couple of times but his chin is the stuff of legends.

Also was Myung Yuh Woo ever hurt?
I dont remember ever seeing him hurt.

    Gerry Penalosa
    Ben 'Wonder' Tackie

In my opinion, those two, and McCoullough & Laporte are the god-tier chins in the lower weight classes.

    Julio Cesar Chavez.

Went past 90 fights before he suffered his first knockdown (and his first loss) against Frankie Randall.

Sakio Bikas chin is legit granite.

Aside from the Codrington fight in the Contender finale I can't recall any other fights where he visited the canvas and he fought a who's who of top 168 and 175 pounders.

Lets try and keep it to the utmost of quality. There will be a lot of guys named that shouldn't quite make the grade imo.

Hagler's a lock as is McCall for me. Not much explanation needed, we've got a lot of Hagler on film and he;s been semi stunned at most for maybe a second. Tho it would be good to have a teeny bit more quality on the Bull's resume i think he stands up pretty good but am open to refusal.

Billy Graham - Never dropped in almost 130 fights and fought some top quality like Gavilan, Basilio and Giardello multiple times. He could have a little more on the banger side of his resume but i think zero kd's puts him in good stead.

Carmen Basilio - Stopped at 160 twice by Fullmer but past peak imo and up in the weights against a guy well suited for that situation. As it was he had to be walked to his corner by cops in the second fight after the stoppage so badly did he want to fight on. I'll nominate him at 147 where he has plenty on his resume.

Barney Ross - 1 KD in his entire career against top opposition including Armstrong over 15 in his very last fight.

Villa, McCullough and Brown are great mentions earlier too as well.

John, not to nitpick (but I obviously am), but I believe Ross has actually 3 knockdowns attributed against him. In their first fight, Ceferino Garcia actually had him down twice in the 2nd round from right hands. Also, in only his 2nd loss, Barney dropped an 8 round decision to Roger Bernard. Bernard was also credited with a 2nd round knockdown, albeit from a body punch. Barney claimed the blow was low but it stood.

This is what it's all about ST, nitpicking is good. A lot of sources or almost all claim he was only ever knocked down once, by McLarnin.

Garcia was his 12th fight and a big step up so i'd not hold it overly against him at all. Bernard was also quite early on as well and it may have been a low blow perhaps.

I'll have to dig deeper as there seems to be nothing on the surface per these KD's.

Yes no-one is knocking him out at 160.
