You do know what an anecdote is right?

That's what physio's are for, that's what monitoring is for. Athletes get injured because they're overloading their bodies to maximise their potential, preseason is for high volume. Injuries happen, and your ******ed treadmill isn't going to change a thing. If you get athletes using your treadmill instead of squatting with heavy weight and performing RDL's/Nordics then that number is going to be far greater than the 35% figure you pulled out of your ass.

There are well qualified physios with a vast amount of knowledge and experience performing great work with athletes. To understand how to rehabilitate athletes from certain injuries you need a very good understanding of movement and you need the scientific research to back up your methods. Scrap obviously doesn't have either, talking about stress on the top vertabrae makes him sound like a homeopaths apprentice, it's actually laughable the stuff he is saying. Learn a little bit, not a lot, and you too will see that he's full of it.

So now 50kgs is a lot of resistance? But we want to avoid any stress apparently? You really don't make any sense.

Maybe for someone learning to walk again, maybe for a recovering stroke victim. But he's on here claiming that it's going to help an athlete, which is absolutely ridiculous.

Results say different, and there are a multitude of examples. Thats why the uni tested it in the 1st place, one of the sports Dr wives who couldnt run, a triathlete trained on it for 6 months doing the same training with the other disciplines. Ran a race she had won the previous year, knocking 7 mins of her Previous, P/B, without overground running. got loads of stories all true Footballer was brought to me just had a hip scrape, had to go back to the states his other one needed the same op. worked with Him 3 months when he went back to the club MRI showed both hips were 100%, but also He was 15% fitter than his last Fitness test.

You can go down to as little resistance, as is required. Not a problem.

Why are you so intent on bad mouthing this guy?

He's invented a machine that has obvious applications, that could help people who run long distances like marathoners, avoid overtraining, as well as be utilized as a rehabilitation machine.

It sounds as if you have a personal problem with scrap.

16 year old, 800 metre runner youngest in his age group 183 in Britain used it 3 times a week. In 6 months was No2 in his age group knocking 14.3 of his P/B running 151.2, never injured while everyone else were getting injured.

The fellow calling out Scrap means well but loves an argument and seems obsessed with scientific journals. What he lacks in charisma he more than makes up for with sheer anger. :D

Personally I wouldn't dismiss something before I'd tried it for myself, unless it was utterly ridiculous, which this machine clearly isn't.

Anyway, that's my tuppence halfpenny, no offence to the angry chap, I know you mean well. :good

Oh, and Scrap's one of the most disarming, genuine and experienced guys round here. Surely it's fkn obvious he's no snake oil salesman trying to stitch folk up with a crappy gimmick.

Well here's the thing. Maybe you're right. Maybe he's right.

I'm not in the exercise science field but it seems like the thing to do is to run side-by-side tests with a large pool of athletes over the preseason and see what the results are as far as injuries, improved speed/strength/etc. I would assume you guys have peer-reviewed journals and universities who would run that sort of study.

Just seems weird that you're saying it doesn't work when anecdotal evidence says it does. That seems to justify further study, doesn't it?

Tit Bit, borrowed it to the local football team, Professional, championship side at the time. to be used at their Academy. Went down there a month after, walked in while the manager was giving the physio a bollocking, about the injury board, not having no names on it. He said wheres the 4 i sent 4 days ago, repaired said Tony they are on the top pitch as we speak. How said the manager, that thing in the corner, the Verti, scraps machine. Physio get on it your knees are F88ked. It was there 3 month the manager was using it 3 times a week. When we pulled it out the manager asked how much, I said not selling them yet, He said well let us know, for the club I asked yes, but i want one too. :D

im new here but from what ive seen this dealt with character doesnt know what hes talking about .

the only way to really increase work capacity and decrease recovery time is to use peds .

look at jmm , hes gone from training for 12 weeks to now 8 weeks and looks stronger than ever despite getting older , proof he is on peds
