What I love about this decision by Hearn/Higgins/Whyte/Parker, is it shows how irrelevant the sanctioning bodies are becoming.

Look at Pulevs last 5 opponents; Johnson, Peter, Chisora, Harris, Arias. Credit for the SD over fringe contender Chisora, but Pulev hasn't done a damn thing in the last 4 years to be rated #2 IBF and #4 WBA, above Dillian Whyte and Joseph Parker.

Hell, the WBC has Charles 'I've never even beaten anyone yet or fought for a year' Martin ranked #7, Bermaine ' have I ever beaten anyone or fought for years apart from diving practice' Stiverne ranked at #14, the WBA has Fres 'I haven't fought for over 4 years and am 45' Oquendo ranked #2, BJ 'Ive never beaten anyone either' Flores at #6 and Guilermo 'I havent beat anyone or a decent cruiser in 10 years and im 46' Jones at #8, IBF rank Pulev#2 and Martin again #9, I guess beating Bryan Polley and Mike Marrone gets you ranked these days, and the WBO rank Kyataro 'who?' Fujimoto #7 and a whole bunch of nonsensical randoms lol. It's a joke.

Whytes last 5 opponents; Browne, Helenius, Tann, Chisora, Lewison (fighting Parker).
Parkers last 5 opponents; Joshua, Fury, Cojanu, Ruiz Jr, Dimintrenko (fighting Whyte).

The more and more boxing moves away from the sanctioning bodies the closer and closer it gets to evolving into more of a UFC style business and gains more legitimacy as legitimate contenders fight each other regularly and clowns from Bulgaria are treated as such.

Pulev is alright, not very exciting, but whyte would be taught a boxing lesson..

Honestly, I can't blame Hearn for taking Parker over Pulev. That's just common sense, its what makes money and its what fans want to see.

Whyte would never get a decision over in Bulgaria against Pulev. But in the UK fighting against Parker, who's notorious for going the full distance. You bet his promoter Eddie, we'll have his handpicked judges giving Dillian the nod, if it's remotely competitive down the stretch. Then there's the added bonus of money paid into Dillian's account, and a rematch with that over pampered bodybuilder Joshua. I'm sure the WBO have given their blessings for the winner of this fight to face their champion in the next 12 months.

This is interesting, Pulev basically accused Hearn of being possessed by a demon(s). Not shocking when you know the entertainment industry.

    Side note:This was funny
