Indeed, what chance would any past heavy have against these greats?

... The under. I put it on the under. I didn't have much so I bet everything, thinking I'd get 75 quick, because good old IB would of course have other Saturday fights up soon...:-(

Most everything else had ridiculously unappealing long odds on the favorites (Afolabi, Marquez, etc.)

The only reason the WBA featherweight title bout didn't go up is because I didn't think of it until ESB was in full-on OMGWTFBBQKLITSCHKOHAYE afternoon mode. Caballero was 8/13 and Barros was 3/2 - so depending on which way you might have gone that might make you feel better about not having wasted another $75 or might make you :pc

Louis would've killed Wlad. I don't care if he's not the most adaptable fighter in the ring. He doesn't need to adjust, there's too many holes in Wlad's game. Louis is very much a complete boxer-puncher. Wlad has too many *****s in his armor.

Wlad is difficult for boxers, but I'd like to see him fight a quality pressure fighter. Even Arreola for lack of a better one. I think he would struggle against volume and having a pace forced upon him.

Wlad's feet were so wide apart last night that he was practically begging Haye to step in deep and deploy an offense. He could never have moved to a distance where his long arms would be effective in time without being terribly awkward with his feet.

I don't think Arreola gets past the jab. If he couldn't impose himself on and grind down Adamek with volume and pressure, why would he be able to do so to Klitschko?

Granted, Adamek is tougher than Klitschko but he's also much, much smaller.

I don't think he could necessarily. But seeing exactly how Wlad grinds him to a bloody pulp could tell us something about Wladimir's ability to deal with volume and having a faster pace forced upon him.

You missed amazing action, including Haye flopping to his knees, face in Wlad's crotch, every time he was barely touched in a clinch.

    It was really, really bad.

No bad intentions, no good exchanges, awful fight. I feel very bad for the Haye fans that came all the way to pay for that crap.

Jersey Joe would have a field day with both. He'd sucker them into a left hook after tying them in knots with clever feints and thr fight would be over.
