barring one or two (hopefully) anomalies I've completed each timeline for these divisions. from this point forth I'm going to be concentrating on featherweight and below (unless there are any major issues) as a sidenote, once I've finished I'll be watching casamayor's stint at sfw as he could have a much longer claim. again I'd like to note this isn't a claim which has anything to do with being a champion (although more often than not I'd hope it would overlap) it's more a fluid timeline of who I think the best is in any division using a fluid system defined by those 4 rules.
I've finally completed phase 1 of my revaluation which calls for a preliminary timeline for every division. Any changes I make will be minor from this point in (basically if I find out a certain fight shouldn't have gone the way of the victor in which case I'll watch it and revaluate the timeline around that era) My next step is to compile a meaningful resume of each fighter but I've no need to do that via threads as I can judge that myself adequately so won't require as much input as I've thankfully had compiling these timelines over the last few months. If anyone spots any instances where they think a gift decision has rendered parts of my timeline unsatisfactory (you cannot become the best man via a losing performance) then let us know on here or on the thread directly :good
The fight where Chitalada 'regained' his title. Against the Korean that Khaosai later battered, I forget his name, Kim something probably.
I might be wrong but think Kim-Hong-Kim-Chang-Chong moved up to super fly afterwards. So to resume Pac' encompassing lineage just hop back on the Chitalada train when he next wins or summat Don't forget, Bassa has two close ones with Zapata and beats Green twice in thrillers during Chitalada's 'reign'. That might be the kinda' thing to sway you off track.
Basically, in order for Pac' to retain some claim to a lineal crown at Fly, the assumed lineage has to be with the WBC. Which if I'm not wrong goes Chitalada-Kittikasem (even if you give it to Chang as he clearly beat Sot in their 2nd meeting, Kittikasem stopped him as well)-Arbachakov-Sasakul-Pacman. Even if you watch and score the 2nd Chitalada-Koreanmanicantremember to the Korean (who has already beaten Sot for the belt) if I'm correct and he moves up afterwards, you can go back to Sot when he next wins, therefore restarting the WBC lineage that goes back to post-Borkhorsor/Canto era. Phew, make sense now? Stream of consciousness
right i dont want to drag up something that might have already been discussed on the SMW lineage page, but froch losing to Dirrell?
Yes....assuming that Sot is the no.1 following the 2nd fight with the Koreanwhoicantbearsedtosearchup. Otherwise, Chang might not have a lineal crown to claim :good
Right I think I understand you now you're saying I should be double checking the actual validity of sot's reign up until the fight with chang? And this koreanwhoshallnotbenamed has a valid care of beating sot before leaving the division? I'll look into it (provided we're on the same wavelength now ) if koreanwithnotitle has moved up I usually allow for a 12 month period of grace unless there's been a specific announcement of intent to leave the division, so hopefully it won't screw things up too much However it goes kitti v chang is certainly a fight which will determine either a new lineage or a continuation of a current one.
I know who you mean now flea. The rematch between kim and sot. I was immediately suspicious about the hometown split decision. Moretti scored in favour of sot but lederman in favour of kim so i'd have to watch it myself to be completely sure. If kim deserves the decision, the only logical outcome is he remains premiere until sot defeats sal because the wba belt is on a right merry go round about that time. Unless there's some uncrowned champ i'm missing who was brilliant despite not being a title holder?
