JG, that's the way I thought it panned out too. Just couldn't believe it hardly...Just goes to show anything can happen in the ring.

I think the best showing of Ross's indomitable will was in a lost. To Henry Armstrong(Other fellow who also had a amazing unstopble will)
No matter how many punchings or presser Armstrong did to Ross, Ross did not quit. And I dont belive that Armstrong carry Ross bs. The fight CLEARLY shows Armstrong trying to take Ross's head off. The 15th round was pretty brutal to watch.

I think more or less all the top fighters had it, thats what sets them apart. What about Arguello in the first Pryor fight, Leonard - Hearns 1, Joe Frazier.........

Gene Tunney in his lone loss to Harry Greb. Going the distance in this fight was tough, but Tunney never quit.

Jim Jeffries in his title match with Sharkey, fighting injured, and under white hot lights.

Three outstanding choices. First one that came to my mind was Marciano. I always considered Basilio as a smaller version of Marciano. His wars with Tony De Marco were classics. Holyfield ranks right up there. His fights with Bowe alone proved his tremendous will. As for Marciano, his greatest asset was his indomitable will. He just would not be denied.
