Is anyone a fan of any Indonesian fighters or is it just Daud Yordan that people know?

China looks like on the move to produce world class boxers. I think they will. With a population of billions and all and with funding.

John vs. Yordan is an underrated fight and a highly relevant one.

Yordan has achieved more than I expected. Still doin' it.

I used to be high on Iwan Zoda, until he suffered a few losses.

Zoda was badly managed, fighting with a an injured rib. His career never managed to recover :(

Yes. John used his experience to beat Yordan. It was probably the first world title match between two Indonesian boxers ever.

Yordan is now aiming for WBA regular 135 title and challenging Linares. But the negotiation doesn't seem to go well. Linares himself wants to go up next weight class.

Chris John is now active in politics. He also aims to revive Indonesian professional boxing.

Andika "D'Golden Boy" Ha'e (already pro, 14-0, has beaten some recognizable-name Oriental scene journeyman) & Cornelis "Chornezto" Kwangu Langu (now in AIBA Pro, was the country's top amateur for years) are the future of Indo boxing.

    Here's them sparring each other:

CKL is the shorter and more compact lad. Ha'e (currently marketing himself under the somewhat exploitative surname of "Sabu" in his new home base of Australia) is the one in headgear, and usually fights southpaw.
