+1... I went twice to the theatre for a PPV and both times it was rather quiet!

No but they did boo a little during mosley-mora.

don't think it'll be that bad. besides the main event Erik Morales and Saul Alvarez are also on the card so that's something else to look forward to.

**I went to the JMM-Mayweather fight @ the theaters and I had a pretty good time. Weak main event, but being in the theater didn't take anything away from the experience ... plus the under card was pretty solid as well

well that's understandable as I read many people who called the fight a dud.

 

I'd love to see this in a theater. Anyone know about how much that usually is? Normal theater price or probably more?

 

... I'd guess in the $15-$25 range. when I went to JMM-Mayweather it was $15.

then the next boxing PPV at the theaters was $25

and pretty sure Hopkins/RJJ @ theaters was $20

 

Sweet. That I can do, it's less than I'd spend at a bar watching the fight I imagine, better screen and crowd mostly likely too.

 

This fight won't break a million PPV buys. There is zero interest or excitement from mainstream fans. People want to see Floyd vs Pac or most not dropping the $.
I think many African Americans who are not die hard boxing fans are kind of done with Floyd until he meets Manny. That is the honest truth.

 

All Floyd's fights were quite, in theatre or arena.

 

ortiz is a quiter and has limited ability, he fought berthoe like a face first rbawler.

 

I agree, Ortiz has a great set of skill and was relentless but not reckless against Berto. This we be a great fight to watch . . . I wish I could be there live!

 

He redeemed himself against Berto, Miadiana had his number and he was not mentally tough at that point. he showed us what he was made of in the berto fight . . . if he would have lost he would have faded off the map, he had his back against the wall and came out fighting. one bad fight and people write fighters off . . . lol.

 

he quit in a fight he was winning, ran from nate campbell and got tagged all night by anthony peterson where he then started running.

andre bertoe is nothing, ortiz fought with his face firsta nd beat bertoe because bertoe cannot handle pressure.

 

well if Floyd/Ortiz has zero interest from mainstream fans ... then how much interest did the Pac-Mosley fight have from mainstream fans

because hardcore fans (I don't think at least) wouldn't be dumb enough to spend $60 or more on a complete mismatch of a PPV

yet Pacquiao-Mosley still sold +1 Million buys ON PPV, so who exactly was driving that fight?

Morales + Alvarez are both on the undercard of the Floyd/Ortiz PPV, and I think that could be an under rated driving force on the PPV total

**I've already given up hope on Pac/Floyd happening because Arum is probably already looking at Tim Bradley for Pacquiao
