Sometimes you look at a fight result and it makes you wonder....Angott ko6 Ike Williams. Sammy "the clutch" Angott fought Pep (first man to beat him), Armstrong, and robinson within a calender year. WOW. This result though....kayoing Ike Williams suprises me. Was Williams wearing 'cuffs'? Or was it a legitimate stoppage?
Ike had trouble with Angott in all three of their fights. In the first, "The Clutch" neutralized Ike's right and although he dropped a decision, many at ringside had him winning. In the second, the sole of Ike's shoe came undone and he fought most of the fight without it. Both were SD's. The third sounds like it was simply a matter of an unusually aggressive Angott landing a big left hook early in the fight (Ike went down) and then hurting him to the body continuously. Boxrec says that Ike rec'd torn abdominal muscle from Angott's body shots early, but I would guess that Ike twisted it.
