Maybe he should, he might actually make sense when he talks, he couldn't get much stupider than he is drug free.
Taylor the lazy **** barely makes 160, so there's no advantage. Phil i remember meeting you on the gold coast a while ago with Shannan before his shot against Raymon Joval, even then Shannan was getting schooled by his sparring partner who was a young Fijian boy with no fights. If this fight goes ahead its a definate mismatch.
Shannon is done, he is a shot fighter, all the drugs and **** have caught up with him, He is still on all drugs and drink, The guy is a clown but was a very good fighter
Taylor fit and focused at welterweight was a special fighter. He was one of the few true title threats that came out of this country at the time. Tszyu would have humilated him as bad as Mosley did though.
Hi Mella I have to say I am not keen on this match-up. I did say my piece to Brad and Grant after the Seran fight but I guess Shannan is trying to secure his future
When is Mundine v Taylor slated for? Only the other day, Taylor was confirmed as fighting Sultan on Oct 30. Maybe things have changed.
so what is choc fighting in us at middle or super-middle . so much for this middleweight crap..he faught crazy kim at super mid-light heavy catchweight ... coz bika , manfredo and codrimgton all super-middle and the green rematch ( its gonna happen..jan /feb 09) ..will be at light heavy im glad to see him in us but ..if it actually happens
from INSIDE BOXING on-line 18th Sept 2008 MANFREDO GETS WISH It looks like Peter Manfredo Jr. of Providence will get his wish for a bout with another "Contender" alumnus, Sakio Bika of Australia, on Nov. 13, probably at the Dunkin' Donuts Center. The bout, which is being promoted jointly by Jimmy Burchfield and "Contender" promoter Jeff Wald, will be televised by the Versus network. Bika (26-3-2) is ranked sixth in the super middleweight division by the IBF. Manfredo (31-5-16) is hoping a victory will lead to a title shot against undefeated IBF champion Lucian Bute (22-0, 18 KOs) of Canada.
Any fight v Green will only happen should Mundine be unable to secure a title fight v Pavlik (or someone of similar standing) after his November fight in the US. The whole idea of fighting in the US is to showcase his talents and ability to an international audience and more importantly the promoters and broadcasters. If a fight v Green early next year was his No.1 preference there'd be no reason to fight on the undercard of Bika v Manfredo. Think about it......
Mundine will never get near a ring that has Pavlik standing in it. First right hand that kelly lands will put the so called man to sleep. Comparing shetland pony to a thoroughbred in my opinion.
