Ive seen a couple of Louis fights and he looked absolutly incredible. Does anyonme know anything about him. When did he start boxing etc?:huh
You lucky, lucky *****. It's the bane of my existance that I don't get to see a Louis fight for the first time ever again. You are in for a treat bud. Louis is still the greatest HW of all time to many on this board. He is also, in my opinion, the single greatest composite puncher in HW history, that's punching across the board, taking all factors into account rather than just power. He might be the best overall puncher in all of boxing history. He turned pro in 1934 and dispatched his first former/futer HW champion in 1935. So he was fighting a year before being matched at the highest level in the sport. I think I am right in saying that Louis beat more past/present HW champs (as opposed to belt-holders) than any other HW in history. Beating a man who will follow you as HW champ is never ever easy, but Louis managed it. He holds the record for title defences he has the type of longevity that is only the privy of the truly great in one-belt divisions - arguably one of the 10 greatest fighters ever to have lived, he is unquestionably one of the 25 and may be the greatest fighter in the history of his weight class.
