This an interesting scemario, somehow replicating what Ingo did in real life:
- In the 60s Ingo beats an accesible Patterson and retires before Liston and Ali come up.
- In the hypothetical 80s Ingo manages to beat a mediocre Spinks, becomes champ for a nanosecond and then GTFO before Holmes or Tyson catch him.

 

Agreed, if Snipes could drop Holmes, Ingo could land his toonder and lighting..but he wouldn't beat Holmes.

How does everyone see Johansson-Cooney going?

 

Johannson might have upset some of those 1980s contenders-alphabet champs but realistically I don’t think it was the ideal place for him. I think he fairs better against men like Carlos Deleon, Piet crous, Marvin Camel, ST. Gordon etc

 

Prime for prime I favor Johansen.

In the time window being assumed, Cooney get's destroyed.

I think he would be one of the billion WBA title holders. If he challenged the champ, he would do as well as Cooney.

 

If it is the version of Cooney that fought Spinks, as would make sense in terms of the timeline dictated to us, I would expect Johansen to land first.
