Ingemar Johansson was a great HW puncher with two great hands (brutal KO)

Lets not forget that Cooper was also kod by Patterson in 4rds , Folley in 2 rds and Bygraves in 9rds. Apart from Patterson [once in three fights ]and Machen ,who did Ingo ko?

With all due respect mcvey, who did Earnie Shavers KO?

Given the recent passing of Ingo, I'm going to start a new thread comparing Ingo and Earnie's careers and power debate.

Thats your prerogative.I would say that Ellis and Norton stand up well with Machen and Patterson myself.

Ellis and Norton had seen better days, though, while Machen and Patterson were at their peaks and neither had ever previously been knocked out. Johansson's resume is thin, but he did manage to knock out all the top men he fought.

This is a excellent example of styles making fights.
IMO Patterson has a much easier job with Machen than
Liston ever could yet Floyd is completely overmatched
    when in with Sonny.

Lousy ref. Machen's glove was on the ground, he should have broken it off to at least givne another count.
But one can see there was none of that wiping off the gloves to give the man another 3 or 4 seconds to recover back then.
Ingo was picked over Liston by Patterson's camp. At the time Patterson was dodging Machen also.
