Does anybody else miss the days of the Ingle fighters and their flamboyant styles. Nassem Hamed, Ryan Rhodes, Herol Graham etc... They were all exciting fighters and never in a dull fight - hands by side, all about reflexes and fast hands from obscure hands. Maybe it's too risky for todays game but MAN i miss it.
i take it you never watched junior witter or johnny nelson fight then? they were 2 of the most boring fighters that have been world champions from these shores. the style was exciting at times but they have had more boxers fail due to the style than success stories, loads of talented amateurs that they tried top transform to their style that ended up ruining them as fighters.
Ingle was great asset to Sheffield as well, doing a lot of free work for the underprivileged. And yes in the 80s and 90s he had some very special fighters. The one thing I would say though, is it is stretch to call the fights 'never dull'; Graham in was in some stinkers; and then there was Johnny Nelson...
Has there ever been a more entertaining fighter to watch and love to hate than Naseem Hamed ?? Boxers with this style tend to have a very exciting but quite short career (at the highest level) as it's all about razor sharp reflexes and fast hands, as soon at you lose just 1% you start getting caught and miss the target, but it's very very exciting to watch
Could be wrong but I'm sure Ingle fighters are f w a n k s fighters kryptonite Sure his fighters have only beat ingle fighters once or twice
