Sore words are fine but you're infatuation with taking down Foreman and Liston while bending over backwards with double standards for your heroes is scarcely palatable.

You've said Sonny is good enough to win? Well give the man a cigar who would have thought Sonny could possibly beat such a terror. A guy who lost twice to a guy Sonny battered two times, taking a total of about 4 mins to do so LOLOL

If it doesn't come out in Ingo's favor there will be another thread showing Liston's stoppage to Martin and Ingo's stoppage of Floyd and saying peeps must watch before they vote :hang

A vote would only be a popularity contest. I was going more along the lines of actual medical proof or something like that. Both Ingo and Sonny were knocked cold in fights by lighter guys. Albeit Sonny was at the tail end of his career but what punishment did his jaw take from the Ali fight to the Martin fight?

Liston was what 40+ when Martin ko'd him? Punishment to the jaw doesn't equate to being well past your best.
Johannson was ko'd in his prime and would have been by London if the final bell hadn't saved him.Nobody would call London a puncher.

What punchers did Ingo survive? Cooper ? That's it.

Let’s sugest Foreman, Larry Holmes and Archie Moore seemed to carry a punch on the choppers against lighter men better than Liston did as old guys.

We do know Liston was not 40 plus anyway because the census shows he did not exist in 1930. Liston was 9 years old in 1940. Sonny never knew how old he was but he was no older than 33 against Ali.

Liston's age is speculative and I don't want to continue this because it will lead up another Choklab blind alley.

I`m not sure Ingo last longer than Patterson, if he does not much. That jab could take the fight out of him. Ingo wasn't known for his dedication anyway. Sonny would give him reason to reassess his occupation.

Agree he was old but to take it further Sonny was known to live a hard life. He may have been 38 going on 50.

Fascinating match up! Il go for a hungry Liston to stop Ingo in 4 or 5 rounds in this one.
Johanson is always dangerous with that right hand but I think sonny will be coming on too strong not giving ingo time to counter turning it into a slug fest. This is Listons game and he comes out on top.

This is not unreasonable. Myself I think first to land could win. The longer it goes I favour Sonny but this could be a very short fight indeed. Either guy winning.
