can the monstrous simon withstand johansonns toonder right hand and get the win in the distance or possibly a ko over ingo?
ingo like a shot. he beat big guys and in one year he knocked out the best two heavyweights in the world. You cant do any beter than that. in 1959 he was a great fighter who already cleared out europe. abe wasnt as bad as people think. Trouble is I have a problem rating any contenders over champs. Even being a champ in a weak era proves a guy has the temperment and focus to win big against the top guys.
I dont think abes best wins compare to the fighter ingo was in 59'. having red his book I think ingo was a bit cocky by nature and entirely lost focus once he achieved his goal but until then the form he showed was like that of a great fighter. ingo was hard to fight he took absolutly no chances but knew exactly when to pull the triger and was razor sharp and heavy handed. henry cooper would joke that ingo was " a one trick poney- how good was his shot if most of its power counts on the other bloke walking onto it?" but if the guy is good enough to trick good fighters into doing that and land, and it works - then that is enough.
