Just indulge me, please. Ingo never successfully defended his belt but he only lost to the great Floyd Patterson. What do you figure the results of the following opponents against Johansson would be (the versions that fought Wladimir)?

VS Chris Byrd (of the first fight, to be fair)

    VS Corrie Sanders

VS Lamon Brewster (of the first fight)

VS Sam Peter (first fight-in case this thread gets bumped later)

    VS Ibragimov

    VS Chagaev

    VS Chambers

Who of Wlad's opponents has the best shot at beating Johansson?

Interestingly I think the smaller fighters like Byrd, Chambers, Chagaev and Ibragimov have a better chance than the bigger ones like Sanders, Brewster or Peter.

I'd pick Chagaev to beat Ingo.

    Commence pasting...

None from me. He can be a confusing and cagey opponent, the way he chooses his spots and even though he retired in the corner against Wlad, he demonstrated a hell of a chin first. Chagaev and Barney Rubble could both, imo, steal a decision from Ingo on their best night. I don't favor them, but I wouldn't be shocked. They've got enough power that they can keep their guy respectful even if they don't put him in too much danger too. :conf

Edit: The last avatar I saw you with did more for me sexually.

I think Sanders could stop him between rounds 1-6 and I like Byrd to peck out a close majority decision victory.

    I don't know. I'm barely awake. I know what I meant though.

I have data to back it up. There's a graph.

Good point, but I reckon Ingo would go undefeated vs all 7.

I think Chagaev and Byrd have a 50% chance. The rest less. None would be a fav.

I think Ibragimov is a cagier and tougher fighter than Chagaev.

Yes..and their comparative efforts vs Wlad can back that up..though I know you can't decide on things that way sometimes..in this case, you can. Sultan was wilier than Ruslan.

Sultans pretty under rated imo. I really liked him before he turned into a runner.

That being said, isn't the right hand the punch to use when facing a southpaw? :smooch Byrd, Sultan, Sanders, and even Chagaev might be taking a quick nap when confronted with Ingos Bingo.

That would be very possible...and I would say that Ingo's bingo could spell "goodnight" for ANY of the fighters mentioned.
