Best of a bad situation. Marquez deserves it more than Cotto and Bradley and it would have been silly to make him fight Bradley to get the shot when one guy clearly deserves it more.

I'd also like to congratulate Pacquiao and Top Rank for not waiting for Marquez to age another 4 years before getting up their courage this time around.

While they are at it, might as well sign an agreement for a 5th and 6th fight too.

This dude is disgusting with his recycled fights. I would rather him pull an apollo creed and fight a random fighter.

Not a bad idea to have this fight. Pac needs to redeem himself. Or be defeated finally by JMM and lose his place in the P4P rankings.

Bradley already beat Pac. Although it was close, I think there is not much interest in a rematch.

Maywether can fight someone in late 2012 to take away the rust. Then was can have PAC-MAYWAETHER in 2013.

Correct me if im wrong but dident marquez turn down a career high payday after his first fight with pacqiuao for a rematch, instead opting to fight chris john for 30k?

For the record i had marquez winning the 2nd and 3rd fight
And i find it sad that pac fans cry about the pac brad result when i thought it was alot closer (pac by 2rounds) then marquez pac 3 (marquez by 3 or 4. Cant recall)

John fight took place over a year after ARUM unilaterally ended negotiations for the Pacquiao rematch so he could slot in Morales who he always liked more. The "Marquez turned down Pacquiao for John" narrative is pure Top Rank spin to cover the fact that he was never one of their favorite sons and they did a shitty job promoting him. That poor job of promoting is precisely why Marquez took the John fight in the first place, so he could get out of his contract.

I'm sure there is a clause for a 5th fight.

I'd rather see him try and avenge his loss to Bradley. At least from there he can go somewhere. Marquez is just another dead end, and while JMM deserves the victory, for the sake of the sport, Manny should fight a stylistic challenge that won't ruin his chances with a fight with Floyd. Even though JMM has stylistic strengths Floyd doesn't, the public won't want to see the megafight after Manny comes off another lackluster performance, win or lose.

Please let this fight be in Mexico City.

    JMM deserves it.

  14. Arum still choosing the in-house route even when Manny has no interesting opponents in his stable anymore.
