ATLANTA -- Evander Holyfield will have surgery on the left shoulder injured in the first round of his loss to Chris Byrd in their IBF heavyweight title fight.
An MRI confirmed an acute tear of the super spinatis tendon of the rotator cuff, Holyfield's lawyer said Wednesday. http://a.espncdn.com/boxing/news/2002/1218/1479329.html

He finished that fight. Also Holyfield injured his shoulder against Michael Moorer and barely lost. Maybe you aren't made of tough stuff but these boxers can be.

People should remember that injury contributed to VK retiring for four years down the line. We'll see how Wilder comes back, if he does. He's never been the top hw in the world, not even top 4.

    :patsch

Why does his record have wins over two HOF's and Tua? Wilder hasn't got one name on his cv, not one.

What two HOF's? He beat Holyfield when Holyfield was 40years old and way on his way down. Tua was just a heavy hitter with average skills.

Different injuries and a different rated opponent.

What was Arreola rated, something like 45th in the world?

a muscle tear is in no way comparable to a torn rotator cuff? in what way do YOU mean that?

No, no, no. Everyone knows all injuries are equal plus Wilder had two and Vitali had only one.
