I tore something just above my left arm pit connected to my left pec. Any time I flexed, it would just pop out. I stopped benching for several years. Just did chin-up which was OK. I thought I could never do bench press or push ups again. Then my doctor told me to start real light with lots of reps. I started benching using just an Olympic bar --- 45lbs. Several sets of 50 --- or more until my muscles were really exhausted. 3-4 times per week. Gradually I put more wieght on. Within a month or 2 my bench was right up there 200 --225 and more.
i am should enter the ring to that song: ' i bruise easily , so be careful , when you handle me' not sure who its by
Anyone knows how to treat bruised thumbs? Or even if there's anything you can do? I noticed on TUF they did something at the doc, not sure it was the same injury/bruise I have though I think so. They stretched it, in all different ways.. anyone knows if this will speed up your recovery?
Hmmm, I broke my jaw, it is now 40 % titanium with minimum feeling (kind of a plus), I've broken my nose about five times (Im jewish, its not small), I broke my left thumb and index finger when I went to throw an upcut and caught his elbow... yep, I think thats it...
Just some ankle ligament damage and a hairline fracture. Was repaired in no time, though I still have swelling from the injury that happened about 3 months ago. Oh, and I am guessing that as a teen I suffered a "high ankle sprain". There was hardly any bruising or swelling (unlike the usual inversion sprains) and yet I could not bear weight on it. I was 13 at the time and my father thought I was faking the injury. Also, I have just remembered a shoulder subluxation, but it went back in itself.
Dislocated my shoulder back when I did weights, took forever to heal. Loads of wrists problems due to flawed technique and bad wrapping. Knee problems from running, took ages as well.
