Injuries to the eye in sparring or a fight.

I just got back from the hospital, two tears in the cornea of my left eye. It has been bothering me for a while but I thought it wasn't that bad. Took an elbow in the eye during soccer practice and suddenly the pain got real bad.

I have an appointment with an eye surgeon tomorrow. Hope it's not too bad. Hurts like hell though.

 

Feel for you RDJ. Just once I'd like to get hurt boxing. Right now I'm out with a torn eardrum. Did I tear it boxing??? No of course not. I always get injured doing other ****.

 

Went back to the hospital because it hurt like hell and it felt something was stuck in it. Turns out that there really was, but they can't get it out because it's a small wound on the inside of my upper eyelid. Feels like ****ing glass every time I blink. The tears in my cornea are older and happened in sparring (nasty old ripped glove), there's probably some scar tissue on it already.

Still have extremely blurred vision in the left eye, which concerns me a little because that's new as well. We'll see how that works out tomorrow, the eye surgeon will inspect it and no doubt he can tell me more.
