    Most high profile fighters are only fighting once or twice a year. He is trying to clear the field.

    Inoue's big mistake was fighting Doheny. He's been fighting top dogs otherwise and sold out for a fight

    It will all get fixed when he gets Goodman in December and MJ in April next year. Doheny was just a filler because Ohashi accidentally reserved Ariake Arena one too many times this year by mistake and Goodman/MJ weren't able to fill in.

    Think of it this way...if someone told you in June that from July 2023 to April 2025 Inoue will fight Fulton and Tapales to go undisputed then fight MJ, Nery, Goodman in whatever order for mandatories, that alone would've been a very good 5 fights in 21 month span that everyone would've been satisfied to have. Doheny was just an extra condiment made available on the table to an already nice meal, because the restaurant accidentally ordered too many ketchup bottles.
