I think Nonoway is neck deep in a hole. He doesnt fight and beat another top 10 pnd for pnd boxer soon he burries himself further. All you will see is his blonde hair sticking out.Its unacceptable he hasn’t beaten another top 10 real elite fighter in almost a decade.Nooya fan club jumping up and down like he has.Sit ya azz down.
Ascribing "F level" to Valuev is arbitrary. Being as tall as heavy as he was meant that he had (other things being equal) far worse speed, reflexes, agility, balance, co-ordination, stamina (in a non-physical fight) and was a massive target to hit. Yet he was still able to beat the likes of Ruiz, Liakhovich and Barrett and his only losses were MD's to Chagaev and Haye. So his boxing ability for his size can't have been bad. Compare him to this guy for example: https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/30144 Haye, Wilder or Usyk at 210-ish lbs would have a far better chance vs a 273 lbs Fury than a 108 pound champ would have against a 140 lbs champ or even a 140 lbs contender, despite the equal proportional weight difference. I don't see why size advantage should neatly correspond to proportions.
I'm not talking about Donaire, I'm talking about Fulton. Inoue and Estrada are practically the same size- why would a win over Choc or Wangek matter more than a win over Fulton? Fulton is a better boxer in real terms. He would beat Choc/Wangek/Estrada easily. Yet Inoue dominated Fulton. They're the same size. Inoue was Estrada's size and beat a big guy Estrada wouldn't beat. Think about it logically. It's a far better win.
Yes, I do think Fulton would dominate Estrada. Estrada can't even clearly stand out at 115, why would he be favored to do well vs a just displaced prime champion who was rated #1 just over a week ago two divisions above him?He gets off on beating "pound for pound" talent Choc who started at 105 controversially, and Wangek, famous for beating said former 105er and Estrada himself. I'd pick two people over him in his own division, so of course I won't pick him to do well going up two divisions.
he’s f level. If you had a million people at that size and all of them started to take up boxing, he would be F level relative to that pool of talent. I don’t understand how people not see this. It’s all about talent pool. If you go to Philippines, there are some very tall guys, by very tall I mean average height in NBA, like 6’7, and they’re terrible, absolutely terrible. But they make the league because they trained basketball, half decent, and huge size advantage. They would be trash in the NBA because there’s thousands of guys their size but just way better in general. An F level HW is also beating C level flyweights. That HW would be F level relative to his weight class and his skills, but his weight advantage makes up for his lack of skills against flyweights. likewise, Valuevs 120lbs over his opponents made up for his lack of skill.
So Loma didnt have answers for Teo and Devin but would dominate Floyd? Even if you had Loma beating Devin it was still a narrow win. Devin was almost KTFO by Linares...Linares. Devin is very far from how good Floyd was.
I'm not a Floyd hugger or PBC hugger but Floyd Mayweather was an unbelievable boxer. And at those early weights he fought more like Crawford and FOUGHT as much as he BOXED. Not crazy about Floyd...like I said before...me, me, me...Mayweather but as a boxer he was must-see. A true legend. As a person he is almost a parody of his boxing self with how self-absorbed he is. And Floyd is far from TBE as many fighters beat him but he's in that conversation and a definitive ATG
"If you had a million people at that size and all of them started to take up boxing, he would be F level relative to that pool of talent" Pure speculation, arbitrary scale and very unlikely imo as Valuev is the best boxer around his size there's ever been and by a considerable margin.
It’s not speculation, it’s purely statistical. you go to a country with not many large people, Vietnam for example. Find the largest guy there, look how awkward he is. If you take the most athletic guy out of 10 then he’s probably not that athletic, if you took it out of a million then he’s probably going to be far more athletic. look at the old big guys, “big” guys like jess Willard moved like a mummy. Now, big men that size are much more common and the cream rises to the top, they’re much more athletic.
That and Estrada should be 0-3 against an old and smaller Choco. You could make a case for a draw or at a stretch squeaked out a win in the first Choco fight.
