Okay, everyone we just saw Inoue dismantle Tapales and become the undisputed champion at super bantamweight. With him staying for at the division for what is most likely the entirety of 2024, he would have amassed wins like Fulton, Tapales, Nery, and others - great resume and achievement when the division is filled with really good fighters. My question is, how would the Monster fare against previous great champions from the past. :sherlock:

    Inoue vs.....

    Erik Morales.
    Marco Antonio Barrera.
    Manny Pacquiao.
    Israel Vasquez.
    Rafael Marquez.
    Guillermo Rigondeaux.
    Nonito Donaire.
    Toshiaki Nishioka.
    Jeff Fenech.
    Daniel Zaragoza.
    Wilfredo Gomez.

I was just thinking about how he'd match up against 122 Morales and Barrera. They'd make for a pair of awesome fights.

I'm not at all confident that Inoue would have beaten either of them. But I'm not convinced he couldn't, either.

That's pretty much how I see it , he's an amazing fighter and just the fact that it's hard to predict how he would do against Morales and Barrera speaks volumes about his quality

Much as if love to see him vs Rafael Marquez, I feel like he'd ko him

That's a hell of a gauntlet. The ones i can confidently pick him to beat is nishioka and donaire, maybe rigo

Loses or give a good fight to everyone else.

He'd have knocked out Pacquiao at FLW and SBW. I've no doubt.

As for MAB or EM I'm not so sure.

I think Morales would beat him, but not sure on Barerra

Barerra proved to be equally as good as Erik, but for some reason I think Erik would be the tougher task for Inoue. I'm not saying I make Inoue favourite over Marco? But I would favour Morales yo beat him down.

    Wouldn't be easy

This is pretty much where I'm at; I see how he can win and how he could lose, as well.

Would have loved to see the Rigo fight even with that version of Rigo. Then Casimero happened.

Morales has a nice reach and height advantage to go with his top notch boxing skills and world class chin. I’d definitely favor him over NI. Barrera fight is closer to me as well.

Hard to say Inoue has looked very impressive but has never fought a great fighter in their prime theres a big difference between fighting good/great fighters and some of them on the list are ATGs.

And no I don't count Donaire as being great when Inoue fought him he'd already lost numerous times and was in his late 30s and 40s when they met.
