Floyd would never take the fight obviously because he only fights you after somebody else has beaten you or when he thinks you’re not a threat but who would win and who is more skilled?

I think it's silly comparing fighters from different weights but what I will say is I was watching old clips Sugar Ray Leonard at WW the other day and I'd definitely be betting big on him. He was not only bigger but actually faster as well as more powerful.

Floyd sort of got by in a weak era of welter I felt he dodged Margarito and Paul Williams but regardless, he was a very small man at that weight and dominated a strong SFW and LW divisions. Definitely an ATG, if him vs Inoue were a similar weight who knows, would really need to see how clean Inoue could get off and how well Floyd could take it.

If Floyd opted to stand in the pocket, he would have serious problems.

    He wouldn't, though.

    Floyd, cautious UD.

It would never happen cause first Inoue would have to beat Andre Berto to get a shot at Floyd and we all know that's not gonna happen.

Floyd is just a little better at everything besides power. But that’s negated with his speed and defense. He also has more tricks in his arsenal. This is coming from a massive Inoue fan, I’d say the same about Tank, Crawford, Usyk etc. he’s just better than them.

Inoue is a much more athletic and explosive version of Canelo.
I think it will be a really tough fight for Floyd.
Floyd has better defense but Inoue has better offense and power.
Both are great at counter punching.
50-50… but slightly leaning towards Inoue.
I think he has enough speed and power to make Floyd hesitant.

Floyd’s ring IQ and ability to compute what he observed and then translate that into effective offense or points/chin preserving defense was almost without peer (at least over the last 30-40 years or so).

That, coupled with elite athleticism and superb technical prowess, made Floyd an absolute handful, regardless of the era or opponent.

Inoue woud certainly land more than other Floyd opponents because of his precision punching, but he'd undoubtedly miss/not land flush more often than he ever has in his career (Floyd's just that crafty and defensively elusive). Additionally, Floyd had good whiskers, so unless it's an absolute peach of a shot, I don't see the Japanese star getting him out of there.

I think Floyd fights at range behind a long accurate jab, avoiding unnecessary exchanges, to diffuse the worst of Inoue's explosive offense while mounting just enough of his own to get a points win.
